Rebecca Otto Tops State Auditor Race
Otto out-fundraises Pat Anderson’s gubernatorial
campaign
SAINT PAUL – State Auditor Rebecca Otto has
raised more than twice as much money as all her republican opponents
combined, her campaign said today, and has more than ten times the cash
on hand.
Otto even out fundraised former State Auditor Pat
Anderson’s gubernatorial campaign, which has much higher
contribution limits. Anderson’s campaign ended the year deep in debt,
casting doubt on her viability as a candidate for State Auditor.
Otto, a Democrat, raised $32,755 and ended the year with
$25,399 cash on hand. Anderson’s Auditor campaign had just $149 on hand.
Anderson’s Gubernatorial campaign faired worse. She
raised just $29,659, which included a personal loan of $3,250, but she
spent $65,596, ending the year with $39,174 in unpaid bills.
